Project Background
Liuyang River, a major tributary of the Xiangjiang River, flows through Liuyang City, Changsha County, Yuhua, and Furong Districts, before entering the Xiangjiang River at Kaifu District. It is a key component of Changsha's "One River, Six Rivers" system, with its delta section being a national monitoring site.
In 2018, Changsha initiated the development of an automated water quality monitoring system for the Liuyang River Basin (Changsha section). The project established 20 outdoor cabinet-style monitoring stations at key discharge points along the main river and tributaries to enable real-time water quality monitoring in the area.
Construction Content
The completion of the project enables comprehensive monitoring of water quality changes in the Changsha section of the Liuyang River Basin, facilitating the identification of pollution sources and tracing the causes of water quality variations. It provides effective data support for precise治理 and long-term supervision of the river basin.
The water quality at the Liuyang River's entry into the Xiangjiang River at the national control section (Beichen Delta) has met standards and continues to improve, supported by the data provided.
