This product uses direct colorimetric spectrophotometry. Sulfide in the water sample reacts with hydrogen ions under acidic conditions to generate hydrogen sulfide, which is carried into the absorption liquid by the carrier gas. Hydrogen sulfide and the absorption liquid generate a yellow complex, and the absorbance of the reactant is measured. The concentration of sulfide in the sample is calculated by the absorbance value.
