Public Utilities Board (PUB) of Singapore Visits Lihero to Explore New Directions for Laboratory Automation Upgrading

On May 22, a delegation led by Pang Chee Meng, Director of the Water Quality Department of Singapore’s Public Utilities Board (PUB), visited Lihero for a technical exchange. Zou Xiongwei, Chairman of Lihero, and Hou Liang, Executive Director joined the discussion. The two sides held in-depth discussions on water quality monitoring, smart laboratory construction, and automation upgrades. The PUB delegation toured Lihero’s water quality monitoring and automated laboratory product lines, conducting a comprehensive review of the Lihero’s full range of analytical instruments, intelligent equipment, and integrated solutions for water quality analysis. Against the backdrop of water environment monitoring rapidly evolving from traditional manual testing toward automation, intelligence, and unmanned operation, the integration of laboratory automation, online monitoring, and on-site rapid testing has become the mainstream trend in the industry.

During the visit, PUB experts paid particular attention to the systematic sampling products, highly recognizing the adaptability, flexibility, and reliability of its portable sampling instruments under complex operating conditions. They also commended Lihero’s  full-process automation capabilities, including the AI-powered water quality testing system, intelligent sample storage, automated loading and unloading, and end-to-end quality control traceability. Additionally, intelligent laboratory equipment, such as automated algae gene detection instruments and smart algae identification systems, became focal points for discussion.

At the discussion session, the delegation provided a detailed overview of the current workflows at central laboratory. Lihero shared its development philosophy, technical framework, and engineering practices centered on enhancing laboratory automation, elaborating on its mature experience in unattended operation, end-to-end intelligent management, and localized operation and maintenance adaptation.
