2024 China Urban Water Environment and Water Ecological Development Conference and Three Gorges Environmental Science and Technology Conference
On May 24-25, 2024, the 2024 (6th) China Urban Water Environment and Water Ecology Development Conference and the Three Gorges Environmental Science and Technology Conference were held in Wuhan, Hubei. Wei Shengbin, Vice Governor of Hubei Province and Secretary General of the Provincial Government, Han Jun, General Manager and Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of China Three Gorges Corporation, and Yu Gang, Academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering, Vice Chairman and Secretary General of the China Urban Science Research Association, attended the opening ceremony and delivered speeches. Qu Jiuhui, Chairman of the Conference, Academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering, Vice Chairman of the China Urban Science Research Association, and President of the Water Environment and Water Ecology Branch of the China-Europe Urban Science Research Association, Wang Chao, Academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering and Professor of Hohai University, and other experts and scholars in related industries, representatives of enterprises and industry associations, totaling more than 800 people attended the conference.
The conference was hosted by the China Urban Science Research Association and China Three Gorges Corporation. The conference was themed "Water Governance: Technology, Industry, and Society" and focused on topics such as digital intelligence-driven pollution reduction and carbon reduction, "three-water integration" and green river basin construction, and cutting-edge technologies for the protection of the Yangtze River.
The conference held five plenary sessions, including the keynote report, Jiangcheng Dialogue, Think Tank, and the closing ceremony. There were 12 special forums, including the Chief Engineer's Talk, Yangtze River Protection, and Green River Basin. Nie Bo, Chief Product Officer of Lihe Technology and Deputy Director of the National Engineering Research Center for Advanced Technology and Equipment for Water Pollution Monitoring, shared the theme report "Scientific Research to Protect Drinking Water Safety-Determination of Perchlorate Indicators and Regulatory Effectiveness". The report began with an introduction to the construction and operation of the National Engineering Research Center for Advanced Technology and Equipment for Water Pollution Monitoring. It analyzed and introduced the water quality of perchlorate in the middle and lower reaches of the Yangtze River, the contribution of perchlorate in the Hunan water system to the mainstream of the Yangtze River, and the management and control results of Hunan Province. It comprehensively reviewed the process of perchlorate in the mainstream of the Yangtze River and the water system of Hunan Province from the start of the investigation to its final inclusion in the new version of the "Standards for Drinking Water Hygiene" (GB5749-2022), and shared the latest progress in the perchlorate monitoring technology system and monitoring instruments.

Perchlorate Water Analyzer
At present, the automatic monitoring technology of perchlorate is mainly based on ion chromatography. The perchlorate water quality analyzer based on fluorescence method launched by Lihe Technology has significant construction and maintenance cost advantages, and is more suitable for automatic online monitoring of water environment and pollution emissions and drinking water safety early warning monitoring. This product has been widely used in the pilot construction project of the automatic perchlorate water quality monitoring network in Hunan Province, realizing real-time monitoring of perchlorate water quality in drinking water sources, provincial boundary sections, water plants, etc., and providing solid data support for improving the emergency response speed and treatment efficiency of perchlorate pollution incidents in Hunan Province.
